Quality Technician
Summary:
This position is responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our company products to ensure they meet the required company standards for quality.
You may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement.
Essential Functions of the Job:
The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
Verify specified dimensions of product or material.
Inspect and ensure goods and products comply with company quality standards.
Develop and maintain company inspection reports.
Perform First Article Inspections and report on inspection results.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness when measuring parts for conformity to specifications.
Ensure defective parts are identified by defect type on part, container of parts and inspection tags.
Identify possible areas for improvement in the quality control process.
Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
Ensure production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
Ensure test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
Test and calibrate measuring instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.
Perform repeatability and reliability tests on tooling.
Provide training in the use of measuring equipment and proper maintenance procedure.
Understand advanced mathematical concepts and use in devising formulas to solve problems with measurements and calibrations.
Lift or move up to 50 pounds when comparing product with parts list or sample model to ensure assembly is complete.
Use the following software when performing this job:
MAC-PAC, Database Management, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent; or minimum six months related experience.
