Summary:
The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) manager will be responsible for assisting in the development and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures.
The incumbent will provide technical expertise on key issues related to environmental & social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation, and supervision of ebm papst's operations taking into consideration best industry practices and standards.
Essential Functions of the Job:

General
Responsibilities:
Familiarizing themselves with ebm papst's ESG Recommendation Report.
Coordinating the environment and social initiatives, and the compliance with law and regulatory requirements of ebm papst's operating locations.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring a corporate-level ESG program, which will be implemented in all business areas, across all operational levels.
Coordinating with ebm papst's Working Groups and teams in all business areas to ensure compliance with the ESG Recommendation Report.
Ensure ESG implementation and compliance.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Regulatory Role:
Monitor the effectiveness of implementation the appropriate ESG (Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their update in line with changes in laws, regulations, and corporate directives.
Review corporate activities and ensure compliance with ESG Policies, Management Plans and Procedures.
Provide guidance and advice to teams on the requirements of identifying and implementing local ESM related laws and regulations and monitor the compliance.
Support the Management in driving the education, communication, training, and implementation of the ESG across the company in all operational areas, including its associated business activities, subcontractors, and supply chains, where relevant.
Environmental Role:
Support the leadership in developing and implementing proper management system for improving the overall Environmental performance of the company.
Develop and steward a robust suite of Environmental related management system in line with ISO 14001 international standards and guidelines.
Implement and monitor the Environmental management system, plans and safe work Procedures.
Coordinate implementation of the site, warehouse, laboratory, and office Environmental plans in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Develop, implement, monitor, and review ebm papst's emergency preparedness plan.
Ensure that emergency preparedness and response plans are tested for effectiveness.
Conducts Environmental Operational Audits, analyzes Environmental data and records from all countries to ensure the implementation for the Environmental management system.
May act as an Environmental, and ESG subject matter expert for external stakeholders.
Fulfill the role of Environmental Coordinator, to include the responsibility of all applicable permits, documentation of proper disposals, waste stream impacts and keep the Vice President of Operations informed on the performance of the environmental system.
Facilitate third party audit/reviews needed for regulatory and systems compliance.
Risk Management Role:
Work with various business groups to identify ESG related risks.
Develop the appropriate strategies to address the ESG risks and their potential impacts.
Carry out ESG risk assessments through the support from internal and external teams.
Prepare, organize, and maintain inspection records and investigate any complaints or suspected violations.
Monitor follow-up actions in cases where concerns are found, and review compliance monitoring reports.
Recommended Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering; or minimum five years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
