Telford, TN Telford, TN Full-time Full-time $28 - $35 an hour $28 - $35 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Supervisor Quality Assurance Summary/Purpose Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous improvements and production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with Quality Manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
Investigates customer complaints regarding quality and insures appropriate action and customer satisfaction.
Assures completion of appropriate quality planning and implementation of established control plans.
Directs the implementation and maintenance of the quality policy, quality procedures and instructions.
Coordinates and conducts internal quality audits and assists with the review of results.
Ensures corrective and preventative actions are carried out by the members of the management team to eliminate any nonconformance in the system.
Ensures all tests and inspection procedures are carried out.
Regularly report to the management team an assessment of the plant's quality performance Continually increase quality awareness in all associates.
Identify and complete training requirements for quality associates.
Directs and coordinates the day-to-day work activities of Quality lab technicians.
Represent the manufacturing division at internal and external meetings Support operation, programming, development and repair of inspection equipment.
Manages Lab materials, equipment and supplies.
Manages Lab associates, equipment and supply budget.
Other duties as assigned.

Thorough understanding and proficient use of Microsoft Office software (i.
e.
, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Solid problem-solving skills using a variety of statistical and root cause tools Knowledge and use of SPC General understanding of highly sophisticated equipment, software, mechanical blueprints, electrical diagrams, cutting and grinding tools, production control in mass-production manufacturing.
General understanding of GD&T and metrology equipment.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university with experience in manufacturing.
Working knowledge of various heat treatment and grinding processes Work Environment/Physical Demands:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
